License To Meet The World
Path to the Quest!
At CheckWorld, we do not view expeditions as merely ticking places off a list. To us, an expedition is curiosity with coordinates. It is about going on a distinguished Quest to actively engage with people, places, and cultures to discover how the world truly works: from the ancient history of civilizations to the contemporary challenges of sustainable development. This process is designed for one ultimate goal: Cultivating Global Citizens, One Expedition at a Time. However, to maintain the highest quality of safety and profound educational engagement, participation in CheckWorld expeditions is by invitation only. A commitment to youth development is required from every invited school, Kid's club, or accredited youth organization. This exclusive vetting process is known as “The Path to the Quest.”
How It Works: From Permit to Credential
1. The journey begins when CheckWorld reaches out to you and offers you an Expedition Permit. This official, exclusive invitation extended by CheckWorld to join an upcoming expedition means you have been handpicked to provide your students/group with an opportunity to discover the world: its civilizations, histories, and cultures.
2. The Quest Credential: Once you accept the invitation and confirm your intent to participate, you are issued the Quest Credential. This is the official license that covers your participating group for the duration of said expedition. It signifies that your cohort is registered, insured, and ready to explore.
The Expedition Workflow
If your School, Kid's Club, or Youth Organization has received an Expedition Permit, here is your roadmap to departure:
✈ Step 1: Confirm Participation
Follow the instructions found on your official Expedition Permit to acknowledge receipt and secure your group's participation. Participation numbers are strictly regulated, so timely confirmation is essential.
✈ Step 2: Registration
Submit your participant roster and pay the stipulated Administrative Acceptance Fee on your Expedition Permit.
✈ Step 3: Receive Your Quest Credential
Upon submission of your form, your group will automatically be issued the Quest Credential. This officially puts you in the expedition group.
✈ Step 4: Meet Your Program Navigator
You will be paired with a CheckWorld Expedition Navigator. They are your group's personal guide from every step of preparation before take-off to travel to the expedition and post-expedition.
✈ Step 5: Pre-TAC
Before departure, (for international expeditions) you will receive access to all necessary forms to prepare your questers for departure, documentation guidance, Travel Gear Kits and Packs, Educational Resources, and Pre-TAC (Pre-Trip Awareness & Coordination: An orientation designed to ensure every participant is culturally prepared before they even pack their bags).

NOTE
Invitees must adhere to the following to maintain their Quest Credential status:
✈ Number Adherence: Invitees must not exceed the maximum number of participants specified on the Expedition Permit.
✈ Equity and Fair Access: Invitees must ensure the internal process for selecting their participants is transparent, fair, and inclusive.
✈ Collaboration: Invitees must maintain full collaboration with the CheckWorld team to ensure safe cultural immersion during the expedition.
✈ Impact: Invitees must ensure post-expedition sharing (such as discussions or presentations) occurs with the participant's immediate community, to maximize learning value and cultural impact.
