Our borders are expanding; after 17 years of operating from a physical headquarters, CheckWorld has officially transitioned to a fully remote organization.

While our "home base" has changed, our mission remains the same: cultivating global citizens and helping young people appreciate the world’s incredible diversity. By moving to a digital infrastructure, we are putting more resources exactly where they belong, into the expeditions themselves.

 

What This Means for Our Questers & Partners

True Local Expertise: Going remote allows us to hire more staff and collaborate with native tour guides who actually live in the destinations we visit. So, when we say "arrive like a local," we mean you'll be learning from those who call these heritage sites home.

 

The Virtual "Basecamp": Before any boots hit the ground, Questers will gather in our digital Basecamp. This is where the journey begins, with "Arrive Like A Local" prep sessions and material resources (Heritage Horizon and Discovery Onboarding) sent directly to you so you’re ready before you arrive to discover the world. 

 

On-Site Staff Meet-ups: Our team remains as connected as ever. We have replaced office meetings with Expedition Meet-ups, where our global staff converges on-site at the start of every new journey to ensure everything is perfect.

 

Enhanced Orientations: To ensure every Quester feels confident and prepared, all expeditions now include an additional orientation day. The "Local Landing" Day! This dedicated time is a Quester Prep-Point for on-site instructions, safety briefings, cultural grounding, and immersion before the main exploration begins.
